How to Add, Edit & Delete PDF Bookmarks

Manage bookmarks and optionally add a table of contents page—so readers can jump to any section from page one and from the sidebar.

  1. 1

    Select PDF File

Select your PDF file or drag and drop it into the file selection area. If your PDF already has bookmarks, they will be automatically loaded for editing. Supports files up to 100MB. All processing happens in your browser.

  2. 2

    Manage Bookmarks

Edit existing bookmarks by changing their page numbers, titles, or levels. Delete unwanted bookmarks using the trash icon. Add new bookmarks by clicking "Add Bookmark". Use level 0 for top-level bookmarks, or levels 1-3 for nested bookmarks.

  3. 3

    Organize Bookmarks

Use the up/down arrows to reorder bookmarks. Set bookmark levels to create parent-child relationships. Level 0 is top level, levels 1-3 create nested bookmarks. Bookmarks must be in ascending page order.

  4. 4

    Add TOC (optional) and Download

Check "Add Table of Contents page" to insert a clickable TOC at the beginning, then click "Add Bookmarks to PDF". Your PDF gets sidebar bookmarks and, if you chose it, a TOC page—ready to download.

Privacy Note: All bookmark processing happens entirely in your browser. Your files are never uploaded to our servers, ensuring complete privacy and security for your documents.
